The week of the last newsletter, I went in for my first event in 17 months after my stress fractures. Honestly, I was petrified, grumpy (ask Shiv...), and I wanted to be a DNS. I don't fully know why I was so worried. My leg has felt fine; I have done the same distance and elevation in training. But something about lining up again felt different. Ultimately, the day went well....
